Downtown mural refresh

The mural, located at Laurel Avenue and 2nd Street, is getting a facelift. Sterling Bourque with Bourque Painting and his crew are applying a fresh coat of paint on the background of the “Gateway Eunice Mural” and Bourque says they will touch up the mural image itself. The project began Monday and the projected finish date, according to Bourque, will be two to three weeks. His painters included Timmy Gil, on the painting lift; and Seth Bourque, who painted at the bottom of the brick wall. (Photos by Myra Miller)
