Early voting continues for April 29 election

Early voting for the April 29 election continues through Saturday at registrar of voters offices.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Registrar offices include:
In Acadia Parish, 568 NW Court Circle, Crowley. Contact the registrar’s office at 337-788-8841.
In St. Landry Parish, 118 S. Court St., Suite 114, Opelousas. Contact the registrar’s office at 337-948-0572.
Elections include a vote for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals race with candidates Candyce Perret and Susan Theall.
In Acadia Parish:
—The City of Crowley has put forth three millage continuations on the ballot that will be voted upon citywide. Fifteen precincts will participate in this election. In total, 7.5 mills are looking to be renewed.
— The Acadia Parish School Board has two parishwide millage renewals and one for School District No. 7 on the April 29 ballot. The parishwide continuation propositions have 55 precincts participating for a total of 10.38 mills. Only two precincts will participate in the School District No. 7 renewal for 6.19 mills in Acadia Parish. Part of Evangeline Parish are also participating in this election.
Voters who require assistance during early voting or when go to their voting precinct on election day are required to bring a physician’s certificate or excuse stating the reason they need assistance. The document is to be given to the registrar or the commissioner-in-charge.
