The other votes cast were primarily absentee.
The ballot includes a constitutional issue and two tax proposals. They are:

— A special tax of 1 mill on all property subject to taxation in the Parish (an estimated $671,400 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with 2021 and ending with the year 2030, for operating and maintaining a jail facility.
— Shall Bayou Plaquemine Gravity Drainage District No. 12 renew the levy of a consolidated special tax of 20 mills on all property subject to taxation within the District for a period of 10 years, beginning with 2022 and ending 2031, having an estimated annual collection of $200,000 for constructing, maintaining and operating gravity drainage works within and for said District?
