Early voting for Nov. election continues Monday in Eunice

Early voting for the Nov. 16 election continues on Monday and through Saturday at the Eunice Municipal Complex.
Voting is from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Early voting also is conducted at the Registrar of Voters Office in the St. Landry Parish Courthouse, 118 S. Court St., Opelousas.
Voters can request absentee mail ballots until Nov. 12.
Early voting for Acadia Parish residents will be available at the registrar’s office, 568 NW Court Circle, Crowley.
Statewide offices on the ballot include the following.
Governor: John Bel Edwards and Eddie Rispone.
Secretary of State: Kyle Ardoin and Gwen Collins-Greenup.
St. Landry Parish ballot items include the folllowing.
Assessor: Sherri Zeringue McGovern and Blair Briggs.
Parish President: W.K. “Bill” Fontenot and Ken Marks.
St. Landry Parish Council member District 6: Warren “Biscuit” Basco and “Gil” Savoy.
Also on the ballot is a one-mill, 10-year property tax renewal for operating and maintaining a jail facility in St. Landry Parish.
In Acadia Parish, there is parishwide 2.12-mill, 10-year property tax to construct, improve and maintain the Parish Cooperative Extension Service Building and the Parish’s Multi-Purpose Building, also the Rice Arena.
