Eunice Food Bank seeks volunteers for move to new location

The Eunice Food Bank serves the community of many families in need. And its purpose and goal is to continue to serve the needy.
However, at this time Mary Ann Guillory, director at the food bank, needs volunteers to help with moving to a new location.
Guillory added, “We are currently in the process of moving to a new location. First Baptist Church in Eunice, along with other GEMA ministers and their church families, has graciously accepted the challenge. They are reaching out for volunteers to help in the efforts.”
There will be a clean up day beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the food bank location at 251 Park Ave. “Our goal is to be moved into the new location on Saturday, June 13.”
The new location will be located at 2101 West Ash Ave. in Eunice, directly behind the DMV building.
Guillory will also need volunteers to move everything out of the building on Park into the new building at West Ash Avenue on June 13. “We will begin moving at 8 a.m.”
Anyone wishing to volunteer and help with the clean up and moving efforts, can call Guillory at 457-7541.
Guillory added, “We are still accepting food donations as well as monetary ones.”If one wishes to donate food items, staples and toiletries, the Eunice Food Bank will accept them. Guillory asked that you call first, 457-7541, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Someone will meet you at the back of the building with your food donations.
The Eunice Food Bank is located at 251 Park Avenue, with 9 a.m. until noon hours and opened Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
