And the walls came tumbling down. E.B. Feucht & Sons machinery gathers up rubble from one of the piles that are all that remain of the former nursing home buildings on Nile Street. Feucht began cleaning and clearing the property for Southern Breeze last week. The developer plans to build a 42-unit low-income seniors apartment complex on the site.

Baltakis returns with new insight. Time in Czech Republic provides opportunity to widen perspective. Anthony and Donna Balktakis made new friends- in this case mimes posing as statues of British World War I soldiers-during the six months they spent in Eastern Europe on a Fulbright scholarship.

Fiddler On The Roof. The Eunice Player’s Theatre presents the summer musical, “Fiddler on The Roof,” book by Joseph Stein and music and lyrics by Jerry Brock and Sheldon Harnick. The blockbuster musical is directed by Debi L. Crawford and stars Darrel LeJeune and Holly M. Bell. “Fiddler on the Roof,” opened Wednesday and will continue through Saturday, July 28 nd Thursday, Aug. 2, through Saturday, Aug. 4 with curtain at 7 p.m. On Sunday, July 29, and Aug. 5, there will be a 2 p.m. matinee.
