Donald Martel and Buddy Street were pictured this week preparing a barbeque feast for the Eunice Men’s Tennis League members. The event, which fed dozens, featured the presentation of the winning team’s championship T-shirts, a prize to be coveted for sure.
This week the city of Eunice received $12,000 from the state to be used for cost associated with planning for the proposed recreation complex.
“I’ll be Back Before Midnight” the final play of the Eunice Player’s Theatre’s 35th season opened to audiences who were pushed to the edge of their seats laughing, gasping, and issuing warnings to the actors on stage. The show will finish its run Thursday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 13. Pictured above are the cast from left, Susan Hensgens, Sarah Bassett and Brett Faulkner. Left, back, is Jay Caswell.

Veteran’s Day 2004 in Eunice will be remembered for many years to come. The event, blessed by picture perfect weather, was well presented and filled with stirring speeches. The near record attendance there was also treated to a fly-over by two F-15 fighter jets who trekked all the way from Belle Chase to add excitement to the ceremony.

Team Fay captured at the Eunice Men’s Tennis League championship by winning the league with 92 points. First Kill, Dominic Darbonne recently took home his first deer after a hunting trip with his dad Donald Darbonne Sr. The two enjoyed a youth hunt on October 18 at the Bayou Hunting Club. Pictured above is nine year old Dominic with his 125-lb. doe that he shot using a .243 rifle.
