International Day at St. Edmund Elementary. St. Edmund Elementary sixth-graders celebrated International Day Friday. The students completed a Social Studies unit on different countries of the world and they were given an assignment. As a grade they had to complete a project on their picked country, dress in the ethnic wardrobe and also bring an ethnic food dish to school. Teachers are Annie Miller and Candy Atteberry. St. Edmund tennis team at state. St Edmund’s Caleb Andrus, Taylor Tujague, Morgan Kreswell, Lori Guillory, Isaac Frederick, and Christopher Leonards all competed in the Class 1-A state tennis tournament held at UL Monroe.
Quarter-final shutout. The adage there’s no crying in baseball. Hugs are a different matter. Austin Young gets a congratulatory one from Eunice High baseball coach Scott Phillips after pitching the Bobcats to a 1-0 quarter-final win over Tioga on Tuesday afternoon.
