McElroy makes All-State track. Eunice High junior Ashlee McElroy was named to the Composite All-State track and field team in the discus throw after having placed second in the Class 4A State Finals with a distance of 130-7.
Austin Young fires off a pitch against Crowley. Young pitched the first four innings, giving up no runs on two hits, while striking out four batters.
Oilers cruise past Seminoles, 12-2. Eunice remains in battle for district title. Oiler third baseman Alex Comeauxx runs down Seminole runner Myles Taylor, eventually forcing him out of the base line.

Danielle LeJeune of Eunice wins the State FFA Equine Science Placement Proficiency Award at the state FFA Convention held in Monroe. LeJeune is a freshman at LSU Eunice and plans to transfer to McNeese State this fall. She is pictured with her FFA advisor Kerry Saucier.
Tops in testing growth. Eunice Elementary Principal Irma Trosclair holds a plaque recognizing her school’s 15 point growth in student assessment data, tops in St. Landry Parish. For the achievement each faculty member received about $1,600 in extra pay this month under the FLEX-PAY Rewards Grant Program. Board recognizes three other Eunice schools.
