Reading for elevator. Fontenot is a Pine Prairie teacher during the school year.
Coloring at the barbershop. Allie Dubroc, 6, colors at Stanford Barber Shop while waiting for her father Jacom Dubroc to get a hair cut. The shop had a child’s table with a chair along with a coloring book and colors for children to occupy their time while waiting for their parent.
Singing at Happy Days. Counselor leaders at Happy Days led the children in different songs. This one particular song was, “We’re God’s Kids.” They wore sunglasses (Sun) in keeping with the Bible school theme, “Happy Days with Son Force Kids.”

Eunice Recreation tennis camp. Deucey Thibodeaux, 7, front and Madison Marcheaux, 8, are learning forehand and backhand swings at the tennis camp sponsored by the Eunice Recreation Department.
You don’t miss the water until... A wood duck hen swims with two of the five ducklings she brought to the pool of Chip and Connie Thibodeaux over the weekend. With temperatures nearing 100, she and her brood spent the afternoon with the Thibodeauxs, who had to provide a float to help these two offspring get out of the pool when Mom was ready to go. Continuing drought has most people ready to trade place with the ducks.
