Louisiana State Newspapers columnist and local historian Jim Bradshaw shares stories about the lawless Cajun Prairie of the 19th Century with Eunice Rotarians Wednesday afternoon.
Charles Young sits on a car’s bumper and dials a number on his cell phone after a train struck the hay truck he was driving Thursday afternoon as it crossed the racetrack grade east of Eunice. Young bailed out before the collision and was not injured.
