Land of Lakes Plantation owner and Whitetail deer breeder James Holdman shows antlers from his breeder buck Dreammaker at the age of three, which measures 250 inches, during last week’s Kiwanis Club meeting. Land of Lakes provides choices. A lot of careful management goes into breeding healthy deer with large racks, said James Holdman, owner of Lakes Plantation, during a recent Kiwanis Club meeting.
A helping hand from mom. Robi Meche of Cankton has her shirt tag fixed by her mother prior to the start of the Tri-Parish High School Rodeo at T-Bar Arena last Saturday. Her horse Gunn seems relatively indifferent to the surrounding activity.
New Rec Park road. A new road of gravel and limestone leads to the maintenance at the Eunice Recreation Complex. The road was built by C and B Construction this week. Previously, the shed was reached by driving across an unimproved area.
