Jean McManus’ effort to improve reading among Eunice children was one of eight projects honored Thursday night at the 2009 Angel Awards. McManus, who organized an Imagination Library program in Eunice, is the first St. Landry Parish resident recognized in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation program, now in its 15th year.
