Eunice officials participate in formal inauguration

The City of Eunice held a formal inauguration ceremony Thursday evening at the Liberty Center. Eunice elected officials were officially sworn in one by one by Eunice City Judge Terry Hoychick. The pastor at New Hope Fellowship Church Chris Frye gave a prayer and benediction at the conclusion of the event. From left, are Rev. Eunice officials participate in formal inauguration
The City of Eunice held an inauguration ceremony 6 p.m. Thurday at the Liberty Center.
District 41 State Rep. Phillip DeVillier served as master of ceremonies.
DeVillier welcomed all guests in the audience as next on the program were Eunice’s two queens Miss Eunice Jenna Godeau and Miss Teen Eunice Caroline Andrus led the pledge.
City Judge Terry Hoychick delivered the oath of cffice with each elected official.
Representing Ward 1 and taking the oath of office was Chad Andrepont, with his wife Kasey, along his side.
Alderwoman Ward 2 Germaine Simpson took the oath of office. Along side was her daughter Jillian Simpson.
Ernest Blanchard, alderman Ward 3, was present with his wife, Josie Blanchard.
Alderwoman Ward 4 Connie Thibodeaux took her oath of office with her husband Chip Thibodeaux beside her.
Marion “Nootsie” Sattler, alderman at-large, was present with his wife Lori Sattler.
Randy Fontenot, chief of police, took his oath of office, with his wife Stephanie beside him.
Scott A. Fontenot, mayor, and his wife Katie present, was sworn in officially by Judge Hoychick.
At the conclusion of the inaugural ceremony Angie Hoychick sang a selection, “God Bless America,” and a prayer and benediction was concluded with the Rev. Chris Frye of New Hope Fellowship.
