The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced Thursday that 21 projects around the state were let on Wednesday. Sixteen contractors presented bids totaling $40 million.
Projects include milling, patching, and overlay on La. 1161 at La. 29 in Evangeline Parish: $169,069.57.
“DOTD’s top priority is the safety of the traveling public, and we’re pleased to be able to enhance it with several new projects,” said DOTD Secretary Shawn D. Wilson, Ph.D. “Most notably, we’ll be raising and leveling several flood-prone ramps in Slidell along I-10, a critical hurricane evacuation route. As infrastructure funding continues to be a struggle, DOTD will keep finding innovative ways to advance projects for the safety of our citizens.”
