Eunice firefighters responded to a fire at a mobile home at 230 North 11th St. at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, according to Eunice Police radio dispatch logs. There were no injuries, but two dogs died in the mobile home. Fire Chief Mike Arnold said the trailer was occupied, but was unable to provide the name of that person. The occupant was not at home when the fire started, he said. He identified the owner as Nellie Prather. Arnold said the fire appeared to have started in the living room and was electrical, but the investigation continues. Firefighters were recalled to the site at 2:56 p.m. when the fire reignited, police logs said. (Photo by Harlan Kirgan)
