It’s that time of the year again, the annual Eunice Food Bank Food Drive.
The food drive is set ffrom 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the food bank location, 251 W. Park Ave., Eunice.
Mary Ann Guillory, director, said, “Please consider to give to those that are in need. The Eunice community has always come through during the past years and has always proven to be generous.”
She added, “Every little bit of help is appreciated. We appreciate your continued support at the food bank.”
Last year’s drive was a success, the Eunice community collected more than five tons of food.
Deacon David Guillory, president of the Greater Eunice Ministerial Alliance (GEMA), added, “This year we would like the food drive to be a huge success. There are many families in our community that go without, food, and other needed household items. It’s a time of year where many families need extra help. I encourage our community to come together and give.”
“Everything” is needed,  Guillory said.
Donations have included food and toiletries.
Monetary donations are accepted as well.
The recent August flood affected the Eunice Food Bank, as the shelves emptied quickly, “We helped many that were in desperate need,” said Guillory.
If you cannot make the annual food drive date, don’t worry, the Eunice Food Bank will accept donations year round.
The Eunice Food Bank days and hours include, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. until noon.
The Eunice Food Bank helps to serve 250 families, on the average, per month.
