Restoring God’s Glory Ministries is part of the summer feeding program for kids. Lunches will be available through Aug. 5, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southeast Center.
The Grab & Go curb side pick up includes a cooked lunch, a snack, milk and juice. Delivery is available upon request. Forms must be completed prior to receiving eligible meals. For more details and information, call 337-230-6206.
Church volunteers, Maciana Richard and Jordan Oglesby, were on site Tuesday handing out lunches and a snack to vehicles. The meal on Tuesday included chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, a fruit-pineapples chunks, milk, juice and a snack of a pack of Honey Graham crackers. A complete meal, snack, juice and milk is provided per child, per family household.
Pastor at Restoring God’s Glory Ministries, the Rev. Kayla Givs, said, “There are seven different Summer Feeding Program Grab & Go meal sites, one includes the Southeast Center. There are others throughout the parish, and Evangeline and Acadia parishes. Each day there are 1,850 meals provided, five days a week. On Friday, meals are also given for the weekend as well.”
