Ledricka Johnson-Thierry won election as 27th Judicial District Court Judge for Division C with 71% of the 7.400 votes cast in the race Tuesday.
Johnson-Thierry defeated LaDonte Murphy for the seat held by Judge Alonzo Harris, who is retiring. Harris serves as chief judge for the district.
Shaun Caillier-Harden won election as Opelousas City Court judge with 65% of the 14,010 votes cast. She defeated Hazel Coleman-Chavis.
Dwight Landreneau won election as Washington mayor with 69% of the 539 votes cast. He defeated Mona Wilson.
Landreneau has been serving as the appointed mayor.
In the District 4 constable race, Ronald Degas defeated Kevin Dupree 1,404 to 1,410.
In the District 7 constable race, Kevin Guillot defeated Jeffery Rose 1,033 to 607.
Sports betting was approved by 59% of the 35,786 votes cast on the issue in St. Landry Parish. The measure approves sports wagering activities and operations in the parish.
