For the fourth year in a row Eunice has received and earned a plaque, and it hangs inside the City Hall near the mayor office.
The Keep Louisiana Beautiful presented the Circle of Excellence Award to Keep Eunice Beautiful for this year, 2019. This same award has been given to Keep Eunice Beautiful since 2016.
Donna Baltakis, director of Keep Eunice Beautiful, gives out a reminder to Eunice citizens that The Community Litter Index is coming up, Oct. 14 and 15, which means that, “Myself, and our mayor, and our board are encouraging all to get their yards clean and litter free, also the same goes to our streets, businesses, and schools.”
Baltakis says that as a requirement of and keeping with Keep America Beautiful that Keep Eunice Beautiful board members, and volunteers, will be ‘out and about combing’ 50 neighborhoods, residential, businesses, churches and schools to clean up, beautify and pick up litter.
