The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that 37 projects around the state were let on Nov. 14,. Twenty-three contractors presented apparent low bids totaling $110 million.
“This latest bidding is resulting in a $110 million investment in our state’s infrastructure,” said DOTD Secretary Shawn D. Wilson, Ph.D. “There are several major projects coming up, including the rehabilitation of the Atchafalaya River Bridge and repairs to the Lake Vernon Dam. As much progress as we are making, we still have a long way to go in securing funding to create and maintain a world-class infrastructure system in Louisiana.”
