The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Acadiana residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 16 at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette.
Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s participants will complete a 2-mile walk and will learn about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer’s Association. Walk participants will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
“Finding our first survivor is our top priority. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Acadiana puts us one step closer to this goal. We’re raising awareness about this disease and also raising money to advance a cure,” said Christine Payton, 2017 Event Chair. “We invite everyone in Acadiana to join us on Saturday, Sept. 16.”
In addition, participants will enjoy children’s activities, food, and music.
