Landry announces for district judge in 15th District

Michael H. Landry has announced his intention to seek election to the 15th Judicial District Court.
The November election will fill the vacancy to be left by the retirement of Judge John Trahan.
Landry is the son of the late J.W. Landry Jr. and Lois Landry. He has been married to Angela Adams Landry for 25 years and they have three children: John Richard Landry, Elise Katherine Landry and David Michael Landry.
Landry is a graduate of Notre Dame High School; LSU, where he received a degree in finance; and Loyola University Law School, where he graduated with moot court honors. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1995.
Upon graduation Landry practiced law in Baton Rouge, primarily focusing on insurance defense, serving as in-house defense counsel for the Louisiana Municipal Association. In 1999, Landry returned home to Crowley to join the firm of Landry, Landry and Landry where he has practiced with his father and brother, James D. Landry.
He is a member of the Acadia Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations. Michael has served the community as a member of the board of directors of the Crowley Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure he served as president of the board and was selected by his peers as the Outstanding Board Member.
He is a member of the Notre Dame High School Advisory Council where he serves as the president. Landry and his family are parishioners of St. Michael Catholic Church.
