Le Grand Hoorah/Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week will be held at Chicot State Park from April 20 to 27.
A portion of the event is an immersion experience where people are coming to learn Cajun-Creole music, food and dance.
There are 87 students registered from New Zealand, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, France and Canada. Participants from Washington, Oregon, Michigan, Minnesota, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Colorado, New York, Texas, California, Illinois, Mississippi, Indiana, Florida and North Carolina are also registered.
The event is to promote local culture and create excitement for the jewel of Evangeline Parish, Chicot State Park.

12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Belisaire Cajun Band (from France).
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Evangeline Made.
3 to 4 p.m. Courtney Granger.
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Kyle Huval and the Dixie Ramblers.
6 to 7 p.m. The Revelers.
