Lemelle is new principal at Eunice Junior High School

Eunice Junior High School has a new principal, Chad Lemelle. Lemelle has 21 years of education under his belt and 14 years as an administrator.
Lemelle, 46, worked as a director at the Acadia Parish Head Start in Crowley for the past two-and-a half years.
Prior to serving as director at Acadia Parish Head Start, Lemelle was the principal at Crowley Middle School for 10 years, and assistant principal at Crowley Middle School prior for two years.
Before Lemelle worked in Crowley, he taught biology and physical science at Eunice High School for seven years, and was the basketball coach at Eunice Junior High School.
Lemelle is involved at his church, New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice. He is on the deacon board, a member of the Male Chorus Inspirational Choir, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Brotherhood.
He is a part of the program in Eunice, “Dads & Kids,” which helps school children with various needs, goals, and activities.
Lemelle is a member of the Alumni Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity of the Opelousas Chapter. He is a life-time member of the Grambling University National Alumni Association.
Lemelle is a 1992 Eunice High School graduate, and a graduate of Grambling University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in biology. He earned a masters degree in biology from Southern University and a masters plus 30 in education leadership from Southern.
He is married to Fran Lemelle for the past 16 years. Fran is also a 21-year educator and is serving as assistant principal at Ville Platte High.
He is the father of three daughters, Robbi Josi, Kayli and Hali Lemelle. Lemelle is the son of Clifton and Cecile Lemelle, and the late Josi Parker Lemelle.
Lemelle said, “I am looking forward to returning home, in Eunice. I am thrilled to be meeting and leading our junior high students, and working closely with our teachers and staff.”
