The letter nominating Huval stated:
I am writing this letter to nominate Tanva Huval for the Rotary Club’s Administrative Professional of the Year Award. She is a fabulous employee, a huge asset to our department, and is so deserving of this award and recognition. let me tell you a little about her.
Job Performance:
Tanva has been an Administrative Assistant 3 in the Business Technology Department at LSUE for the past 20 years. She is directly responsible for all correspondence, phone calls, purchases, and other administrative duties, making sure the Department runs smoothly every day. Tanva’s knowledge of the Business Technology Department is unparalleled. She knows every answer to every question and is always happy to share her knowledge with those who ask for assistance.
Customer Service:
Tanva’s customer service skills are exemplary. She is one ofthe friendliest people I know and she always arrives with a smile on her face and a happy greeting for her co-workers. Tanva also has an ability to communicate effectively with all of her co-workers, from the director level to the student workers.
Tanva makes it a point to address students and faculty with respect. Regularly I can hear her on the phone patiently explaining things to those inquiring about testing procedures, enrollment procedures, and other relevant issues.
Teamwork:
Despite the overwhelming amount of work she has to do, Tanva consistently finds ways to help her coworkers when they need something. Her willingness to assist others and her commitment to the Business Technology faculty is unequaled. Faculty members in the department have all noted that Tanva is meticulous with her paperwork, provides detail about departmental policies, and consistently follows through to ensure understanding by not just the students, but by faculty members who might have to field questions about various topics. She is quick to respond to requests for additional information by her co-workers and is thorough in ensuring all loose ends are completed.
Not once since I have been Tanva’s co-worker have I heard one negative comment about her. It is with great pleasure that I respectfully submit this nomination for Tanva to be recognized as the Rotary Club’s Administrative Professional of the Year.
