LSUE veterans’ effort honored

Gov. John Bel Edwards issued an official statement of recognition for LSU Eunice’s dedication to honoring Louisiana veterans and their service to the country on Veterans Day. With the governor’s declaration of recognition and a proclamation declaring Nov. 11 as Veterans Day in the state of Louisiana are LSUE’s Vet Corps Navigator Kenneth Manuel and Chancellor Nancee Sorenson. LSUE placed flags across campus and honored student and faculty veterans. The university has consistently been named a Military Friendly School by VIQTORY Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazines. The Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to institutions of higher learning that are both embracing military students and dedicating resources to ensure their success both in the classroom and after graduation.
