Long-time City of Eunice attorney Vernon McManus has passed away.
He was 87.
In 2011, late Mayor Claud “Rusty” Moody recommended McManus’s appointment as the attorney for the city. McManus succeeded Jacque Pucheu as city attorney.
When McManus announced his resignation in February of 2021, he said he has started legal work with city in 1996, handling condemnation cases.
