About 20 miles of paving is planned in a fourth phase of the Smooth Ride Home program in St. Landry Parish.
A list of 28 roads was presented by Parish President Bill Fontenot at the Parish Council meeting on Wednesday.
Bids will be taken in early June and construction is planned to begin in early August.
More than 300 miles of roads have been paved in St. Landry Parish in the Smooth Ride Home program.
In 2013, Rural St. Landry Parish voters approved a 2 percent, 15-year sales tax for road improvement. Tax collections began in 2014 and road work began in 2015.
The initial bond issue for the program was $66 million and by 2028, the end of the 15-year bond, about $75 million in work will be completed.
There are about 800 miles of roads in the parish.

In other road business at the meeting, the abandonment of Parish Road 6-106 in the Swords area was discussed.
Fontenot said the road does not show up on current parish road maps and is not maintained.
Parish Council member Timmy Lejeune said the road is between La. 752 and U.S. 190, but has not been serviced in years.
There is about 300 feet where a road appears but it heads into a fence row, he said.
Parish Council member Harold Taylor said landowners adjacent to the road would have to agree to its abandonment.
The Council also approved its legal counsel, Garret Duplechain, to look into a burn ban ordinance for residential subdivisions in the parish.
