Eunice Christian Academy (ECA) will be opening in August 2021 for the 2021-2022 school year. ECA is a Christ-centered, private school serving pre-kindergarten to sixth grade.
“We offer hands-on learning, enriched with creative and innovative ways of teaching while also equipping students with Christ-like purpose,” said Megan Frye, director of development. While New Hope church will facilitate the school, students from all religious backgrounds are invited to attend.
The staff at ECA will include Joy Jodon, administrator and teacher; Katie Richard, early childhood curriculum director and teacher; Wendy Nugent, teacher; Margaret Gil, teacher; Katie Savoy, office manager; and Evelyn Ashford, aftercare director.
All teachers have bachelor’s degrees and/or teaching certifications along with years of classroom experience.
Of the staff, Frye said, “We are very passionate about providing the best education possible while instilling Biblical principles and a Christian worldview. Our staff is incredibly excited to begin this journey and be the start and the foundation of Eunice Christian Academy.”
Students at ECA will experience daily worship, prayer, and devotions to begin every day, and these Biblical foundations will be incorporated throughout the accredited Abeka curriculum. “We believe by setting this type of Christian environment we provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students and families can explore and understand their identity in Christ,” said Frye.
Frye, director of development, said, “It is overwhelming to see what began as a God-sized vision transform to a simple burden to a life-giving reality. I am thankful for New Hope Church, the teachers, and staff that took a step of faith and believed in the vision. My husband, Chris, and I have been pastors of New Hope for almost five years and I absolutely love this community. My heart is to see the church become a beacon of hope to Eunice and the Acadiana area. I believe it’s our responsibility as parents and followers of Jesus to make sure our children not only have academic success and growth, but also to truly know God and learn the one thing that will sustain them throughout their lives- how to seek Him. It is our mission at Eunice Christian Academy to do just that: to educate for lifelong success and enrich with Christian purpose. Our prayer is to provide the very best education possible with a commitment to encouraging, equipping, and empowering the next generation of young leaders to have more impact on the world than it has on them.”
