New Life Pregnancy Center ribbon-cutting

A ribbon cutting for the New Life Pregnancy Center located at 1415 Seventh St. in Mamou along with a banquet fundraiser was held Tuesday. Over 175 people were in attendance and more than $10,000 was raised from the banquet along with a donation from St. Edmund High School. Speakers for the night were Travis Turner, president of New Life Pregnancy Center; Heather Cloud, Louisiana State Senate, District 28; Beth Mizell, State Senator, District 12; and Brian Gunter, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Pollock, and director of Outreach for Louisiana Right to Life. Kent Gonsoulin, Cajun humorist entertained the crowd.
