A new communications tower is up. A crew from Custom Tower of Scott worked Tuesday morning working to put the tower up, and as 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, the tower was built up to 140 feet. Upon completion the tower will be 400 feet high. According to Luke Martin of Custom Tower the completion of the tower should be today. Custom Tower workers included John Richard, Franklin Martin, Mark Trahan and Tanner Brousssard. The tower is located off of Fruge Street. The communication tower will be used by and for law enforcement personnel, city marshals, and first responders. The state pays for the equipment.
