OPELOUSAS — Reapportionment for St. Landry Parish’s Parish Council and School Board districts remains months away because of a delay in census numbers.
Demographer Mike Hefner said the census count won’t be available until August or September.
One phase of reapportionment has already taken place and that is a preliminary approval of precincts in the parish that reduced them from 92 to 52.
