Two 17-year-old Eunice High School students face a felony charge for spiking a teacher’s drink with Krud Kutter, a cleaning fluid.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said a student on Thursday at the school provided police with a video from Snapchat showing a female 17-year-old student pouring a liquid into a teacher’s cup. The liquid was identified as Krud Kutter, a concentrated cleaner/degreaser liquid that is considered an “all purpose” cleaner.
On Wednesday, a teacher stepped outside the class to get supplies for the students and that’s when the female polluted the drink. The 17-year-old male student recording the incident while also looking out for the teacher’s return to the classroom, he said.
Both juvenile suspects admitted to their participation in this incident and were arrested, he said.
Principal Mitch Fontenot released a statement, “We are currently working with Eunice Police Department in investigating this matter. Both students have admitted to participating in the incident and have been arrested and charged. St. Landry Parish School Board is still investigating this matter and students will be recommended for expulsion.”
