PP Council votes to consider two-percent sales tax continuation

The Pine Prairie Village Council, at a special meeting last week, voted to consider the continuation of the villages two-percent sales tax.
After the motion passed, Mayor Quint West read the following: “The board of aldermen considered a resolution calling for an election with regard to taxes after a public hearing which is to be held on November 27, at 5:00 p.m. at the Pine Prairie Municipal Hall.”
No further action was taken during the special meeting, and the next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 8.
