St. Thomas More Catholic Church celebrated the Solemnity of the Annunciation, when God came to us in the flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, on Wednesday. In light of the caronavirus Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel gave Rev. Clinton Sensat special permission to have a Eucharistic Procession through some the neighborhoods of Eunice. The city marshals escorted Sensat walking the Eucharistic Procession. Along with Sensat were altar servers Gavin, Landen and Grayson Higginbotham. Many Eunice families, individuals, pets, watched on from their vehicles, some alongside the roadways, while other families sat in lawn chairs in front of their homes. Sensat’s Eucharistic Procession route began at the church parking lot where some parishioners sat inside their vehicles. Then the route took a left onto LSUE Drive and proceeded onto University Place neighborhood streets. (Photo by Myra Miller)
