EUNICE — It is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of a beautiful daughter, sister, grandchild, godmother and friend, Sadie Fontenot at the age of 25. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Sensat, Celebrant.
Sadie, a 2014 Eunice High School graduate and a 2018 UL Lafayette graduate. She loved shopping, fashion, fitness and photography but most of all she loved her family and loved spending time with them. She lives on in all her family, friends, and anyone who had the grace to be touched by her. She will be dearly missed by her loving parents, Chris and Tara Fontenot of Eunice; her maternal grandparents, Virginia Baisden of Brunswick, Ohio, and Charles and Wanda Brower of Palm Harbor, Florida; her paternal grandparents, Gayle Fruge and Philip Myers of Eunice; her three sisters, Darian Fontenot, Audrey Fontenot and Preslie Fontenot all of Eunice; her godchild, Emma Grace Fontenot as well as extended family and friends. The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, April 12, from 2 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 13, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Chuck will lead a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Monday.
