Sheriff announces $500 scholarship
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz is once again announcing the availability of a $500 scholarship to be awarded to one outstanding high school graduating senior in St. Landry Parish.
The only limitations are that applicants must be permanent residents of Louisiana, that the scholarships must be utilized in higher education within the State of Louisiana, and that the students must enroll as full time undergraduates. The selection process is conducted by an independent third party and is based primarily upon the applicants GPA and ACT scores.
Application packets may be obtained at all St. Landry Parish high schools through the office of the principal or guidance counselor. Completed applications must be returned to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office no later than April 1.
