Simpson, Andrepont, Guillory win election

Incumbent Germaine Simpson is returning to her Ward 2 Eunice Board of Aldermen seat and Chad Andrepont has won the Ward 1 seat in the Saturday election.
Simpson defeated challenger Jackie “JuJu” Vallare with 57percent of the vote. There were 456 votes cast — 26.2 percent turnout.
Andrepont won 58 percent of the vote in the Ward 1 race defeating Roland Miller, a former alderman. There were 299 votes cast for a 19.3 percent turnout.
In the District 11 St. Landry Parish School Board election, Myron Guillory defeated Jacqueline Gennuso with 58 percent of the 932 votes cast. There was an 18.2 percent turnout.
