Relief supplies accepted at Fire Dept.
The Eunice Fire Department’s main fire station, located at 100 Park, will accept donations of hygiene products, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food items, and water for delivery to Hurricane Ida victims.
Donations can be made from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aerial spraying in Acadia Parish scheduled

Acadia Parish Officials have scheduled an aerial spray operation this week for designated areas throughout the Parish.
This is being scheduled to help reduce the number of mosquitoes resulting from rain and the activation of agricultural fields associated with Rice and Crawfish.

It happened at one of my favorite diners. The Western omelet and Diet Coke I often get wasn’t the $11 it had been for as long as I remember.
It was $16.
That expense, with my tip for the excellent waiter, consumed my entire $20 bill.
