Military veterans of the United States it is time to seriously consider returning to serve your country (Just for a few years). This time not in uniform, but in the political sector.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents are investigating a fatal boating incident that occurred in Catahoula Parish on Sunday. The body of Kevin E. Evans, 50, of Lafayette, was turned over to the Catahoula Parish Coroner’s Office to determine an official cause of death.

Foul play suspected in man’s disappearance

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking information in the disappearance of Brock Jorden Comeaux. Comeaux was last seen on Jan. 2 in the neighborhood of Bird Village, south of Rayne. Comeaux is described as a white male, 29 years of age, 5’6” in height and weighing 180 pounds.

Boy, 15, missing since Saturday

A 15-year-old boy from the Eunice and Basile area has been reported missing since Saturday, according to a news release from Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles Guillory. The sheriff’s office as notified at 7:45 a.m.

Cajun Prairie fall meeting is Saturday

The Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society will hold its fall meeting Saturday. The public is invited to attend. The meeting starts at 8 a.m. at the Duralde Restoration Site. The meeting continues at 10:30 a.m. at the Eunice Restoration Site.
