St. Landry Parish Sheriff Office Arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. August 14-16 Brisen James Ryder, 24, 12000 block of Highway 105, Melville. Criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, attempted unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, remaining after being forbidden.

Nelton Joseph “Blue” Andrepont

EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Nelton Joseph “Blue” Andrepont announces his passing on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Eunice Manor at the age of 86. A Celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m.

Eunice Police Arrests report

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. August 13 Kaleb Anthony May, 26, 2800 block of Charlene Highway, Eunice. Theft. Crystal Gail Dietz, 41, 1600 block of LD Verette Road, Mamou. Probation warrant. Linda Dietz, 69, 900 block of Williams, Eunice. Theft, value less than $1,000.

The following are excerpts from the Eunice Police Department radio dispatch logs. August 13 02:42 Attempted break in at the 800 block of South Beulah. 05:50 Suspicious person reported in an alley behind 2nd Street. 09:42 Lobby complaint in reference to theft of a debit card.

Randell “Randy” Dwight Guidry

Randell “Randy” Dwight Guidry passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 57. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Charlotte Delahoussaye Hebert

Charlotte Delahoussaye Hebert passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 81. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following the 6:30 p.m. Rosary on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m.

John Darrell Benoit

John Darrell Benoit passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 70. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice.

Arson suspected in Eunice house fire

A fire that occurred at about 4 a.m. Thursday at 631 South 5th in Eunice is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. The rental home was not occupied and was under some remodeling at the time. (Photo by Myra Miller)
