I was down the shore this weekend, enjoying the sea, the sun and the sweeping panorama of people without masks. Honestly, that was beautiful. One of those views was from the patio of a fantastic pizzeria just outside of Atlantic City.

Church Point Police arrest Eunice women for drugs

Two Eunice women were recently arrested on narcotics charges by the Church Point Police Department. Those arrested were: — Tajanerra Marie Murphy, 24, on charges of bench warrant contempt of court (two counts) and possession with intent to distribute Suboxone.

Bicyclist killed in Allen Parish hit and run crash

A bicyclist was killed in a hit and run incident on La. 383 near Ikes Road about 3 miles west of Kinder. According to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop D, the incident on July 15 claimed the life of 44-year-old Jamie Fontenot of Scott.

2 killed in Acadia Parish crash

A two-vehicle fatal crash on La. 95 at the intersection with La. 1097 about 4 miles north of Duson on July 17 claimed the lives of 44-year-old Dawn Bernard of Carencro and 53-year-old James Bellard of Church Point.

Missing teen may be in Eunice

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Tyler Vories who left his home in Basile during the night of June 21. Vories is described as a black male, 121 pounds, 5’9” in height, with black hair and brown eyes.
