Church Point Police dispatcher, husband arrested on theft charges

A Church Point Police Department dispatcher and her husband were arrested on theft charges on June 4. Amber Daigle and her husband, Dillon Daigle, were each arrested on a charge of theft over $200 dollars but less than $500 by Church Point Police.

Alice Himel Lopez passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the age of 57. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Sal Istre celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

A 64-year-old Opelousas woman was forced to live in her bedroom and denied use of a bathroom by her son and his girlfriend, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
