EUNICE–Funeral services for Donavon Reed, 32, will be held at Word Ministries at 11 a..m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, with interment in the St. Mathilda Catholic Cemetery in Eunice, LA. Mr. Reed died on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Acadian Medical Center.

Eunice man charged in woman’s drug death

A 28-year-old Eunice man was arrested Saturday in connection with overdose death of Kassidy Guidry, 23, of Eunice, on April 23, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. Charged with second-degree murder is Tyler Sloane, of the 100 block of Valse Drive, Eunice.

Sherryl Guillory passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the age of 59. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Our Savior’s Church of Eunice with Pastor Luther Burney of First Baptist Church of Lafayette officiating.
