Travis Alan Troha

EUNICE-Travis Alan Troha passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 31. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Travis is survived by his father, Joseph C. Troha and wife, Neneth of Basile; a brother, Terrel J.

John Carrier

John “Mule” Mark Carrier passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 50. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Man accused of shooting death had been convicted of murder

Scott Allen Cooper, the man accused in the shooting death of 17-year-old Garrison Gautreaux in the early morning hours of May 16, had been previously convicted and sentenced for a murder charge. However, a trial error and technicality caused the ruling of the case to be overturned.
