CDA hosts Valentine’s cake sale Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Eunice 208 will hold its annual Valentine’s cake and baked goods sale to fund charitable donations. Come by and support them following masses at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Eunice on Saturday, Feb. 13 after 4 p.m.

Lester "Stoney" Paul Miller

Lester “Stoney” Paul Miller passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 63. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Kenneth Ray Briscoe announces his passing at Acadian Medical Center on Feb. 4, 2021, at the age of 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice.

St. Landry Parish sheriff seeks man for shotgun shooting

Daveon Josiah Finley, 25, is being sought by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office and St. Landry Crime Stoppers. Finley is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
