Bennett "Pappy" Miller Jr.

Bennett “Pappy” Miller, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 71. A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Portion of La. 103 in St. Landry Parish to close for repairs

La. 103, 0.2 miles south of U.S. 190, will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday until 4 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting, to allow crews to make cross drain repairs. The detour will consist of LA 31, LA 741 and US 190.

Curtis Miller Bundick

Mrs. Curtis Miller Bundick passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the age of 89. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvery Cemetery.

Kyran Douglas McNeal

Kyran Douglas McNeal passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the age of 35. No Services have been planned at this time. Kyran is survived by his parents, Douglas E. and Kenna Stagg McNeal; one sister, Kasey McNeal.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. January 22 Johnny D. Franshaw, 20, 800 block of North 2nd Street. Money warrant. Johnny Donte Franshaw, 20, 100 block of Juniper Circle, Iowa. Disturbing the peace. January 23 Steven Ortego, 67, 100 block of Boudreaux, Eunice. Simple battery.

Raymond Ray Klumpp

BASILE-With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Ray Klumpp, age 79, on Friday, January 22, 2021 at home surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10 a.m.

CDA monthly meeting set for Feb. 1 The Catholic Daughters of Americas will have a meeting a 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1 at the Jeanmard Hall. Members are encouraged to bring a canned good to give a donation to the Eunice Food Bank.
