John Dana Latour passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the age of 69. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Veterans honored

A Veterans Day ceremony was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the VFW Post 8971. All those who have served and are serving in the military were honored. Each veteran at the ceremony had the opportunity to introduce themselves and the military branch he or she served in.

Despite COVID, audit finds city’s finances healthy

After a review of the city’s audit, Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said, “Looks like we’ve done really well this year considering what type of year we’ve gone through.” Shirley Vigé, of Vigé, Tujague & Noel, presented the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30.
