Fall season in full swing at Hilliard Art Museum

Hilliard Art Museum – University of Louisiana at Lafayette is featuring four exhibits during its Fall 2020 season. “Signal/ Form: Video Art by Woody and Steina Vasulka” showcases two works – “Summer Salt” and “Artifacts” – created by the video artists.

Aldermen approve Liberty revival

The Liberty Theater is poised for a renewal after the Board of Aldermen approved Mayor Scott Fontenot to complete an agreement with a non-profit. Cajun musician Joel Savoy spoke at the Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen’s meeting. Savoy leads The Association for the Liberty Theatre of Eunice.

Hurricane Delta hit hard

There were no injuries reported in Eunice from Hurricane Delta, but it turned into a tree-toppling mess-maker. Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said Delta was worse for Eunice than Hurricane Laura six weeks ago. “We have a ton of debris now roadside,” he said at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
